TLF will host a financial literacy workshop on October 21,  2018 at the offices of Istation.  Primerica Financial Services will be our presenter and will include one of our own TLF career members, Cody Copeland, TLF 2012.

TLF students have decided to participate in two community initiatives.  On Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10:00am-2:00pm TLF students are partnering with the District Attorney’s Office and Human Trafficking division of the Sexual Assault Unit, Safer Dallas Better Dallas and the Rotary Club of Dallas to collect items for safety kits for victims of human trafficking.  Donations can be dropped off at Woodrow Wilson High School, 100 S Glasgow Dr, Dallas, TX 75214.  They are collecting  blankets, packaged gum, travel sized toiletries, feminine products, and fast food gift cards.

TLF students are also partnering with the DEA, Safer Dallas Better Dallas, Dallas Police Department, and the Rotary Club of Dallas in a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.  This event will take place concurrently with the collection of items for human trafficking vitems on October 27, 2018 from 10:00am-2:00pm.  You are encouraged to clean out your medicine cabinets and bring your unwanted or expired drugs to Woodrow to get them off the streets and help fight this growing epidemic.
