American Leaders Institute

The class of 2012 just returned from a week at the American Leaders Institute in Washington, DC.  Each day was filled with conversation with many significant business and government leaders.

According to the students, one of the highlights of the trip was the opportunity to speak on the House Floor with TLF’s Honorary Chairman Congressman Pete Sessions during their night time tour of the Capitol.  TLF students were invited to sit in on Cong. Sessions’ Telephone Town Hall Meeting on Monday night to hear constituent’s questions and discussion about current issues facing our nation.  Throughout the week, they heard from several Washington leaders and attended educational tours at the Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery, Smithsonian Museums, the State Department and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO).

A special thanks to Southwest Airlines and Veolia Transportation (SuperShuttle) for their continued support of TLF.  Click here to see more pictures from our trip to Washington!
