Partners in Reading Achievement
The Partners in Reading Achievement initiative helps ensure Texas students become strong readers. The program has been implemented in schools and after-school programs in Dallas, Fort Worth and El Paso. Our partnership provides computer-adaptive reading program(s) and professional development to selected schools and organizations.
The initiative invests in programs and services that increase economically disadvantaged children’s access to high-quality educational opportunities. Our focus is on helping students enrolled in public schools (K-12) acquire the knowledge and skills they need to become productive, engaged citizens.
Our focus is neighborhoods that are typically among the most challenged areas of major urban centers, defined by unacceptably high rates of poverty and historic disinvestment.
Our newest Partner in Reading Achievement is Head Start of Greater Dallas. The foundation donated computers and the Istation Reading Program to Davids’ Place Center in East Dallas and Lakewest Head Start Center in West Dallas.
All of our Partners in Reading Achievement have strong leadership committed to ensuring that students become strong readers.
