Education
Education is the the core of the Today Foundation’s mission. For decades, the foundation has dedicated its resources and talent to improving the lives of American students, families, and communities. From developing and implementing a wide-range of education programs including award winning ed/tech programs for early childhood, K-12 to postsecondary students to initiatives in rural education and critical policy forums that continue to positively impact the education of families and communities throughout the United States.

A centerpiece of the Today Foundation’s mission is developing young adult diverse community leaders prepared to tackle complex issues and advance positive societal change. Through innovative programs such as Texas Leadership Forum, Dallas Call to Character, the Children’s Education Fund and the Collins Economic Forum, participants learn the importance of civic involvement, leadership, character building and policy development. Students have ample opportunities to apply lessons learned in real-world situations.

Conservation
The Today Foundation, is a champion of conservation and education. The Collins Academy, Port Jefferson Art, History and Nature Center and the Caddo Lake Restoration Project, attest to the foundation’s commitment to conservation. These unique education programs teach students how to conserve, preserve, and value nature’s habitat which is so vital to a thriving community. Students and community members of all ages engage in ‘hands-on’ experiences with Texas’ natural habitat to learn the value the habitat has on everyday life.

Public Safety
Since its inception the Today Foundation has hailed public safety as the cornerstone of a society’s ability to grow and flourish. Projects such as Associated Texans Against Crime (ATAC) and the Drug Prevention in Schools Partnership has made Texas a safer and more productive place to live and raise families that thrive.
